There are many reasons why vast people in the United States choose holistic health to western medicine, especially for pain relief.
“Diagnosis is unique to the individual, last week I had 2 patients with back pain, one was worse sitting, the other was worse standing. Because these symptoms are different they are treated differently,” said Muncy.
“Acupuncture looks at the imbalance or disharmony in the body and works to bring the body back into balance or homeostasis. When the body the body is in homeostasis it is harder for a disease to take hold.”
In Castle Rock, Colorado alone, there’s a growing number of alternative medicine facilities opening up.
“There’s a demand for sure. I haven’t been to a ‘traditional doctor’ for many years,” said Castle Rock resident, Bob Hillinger.
“Sometimes western doctors don’t know what to do with a problem so they invalidate the person’s experience. I recently had a patient tell me his doctor flat out told him he was making up his symptoms,” concluded Muncy.
It’s safe to say that alternative medicine and holistic health will be here for the long haul.
